Can I see what these products look like before I buy?
Yes absolutely! I often bring samples with me during photo days and set up a little display area at the foyer (if I have the teachers' permission). When you log in to your child's gallery, many of the products will have pictures too!
My child has a rash on his cheek, can you photoshop that out?
Yes sure! Retouching requests (e.g. remove rash/scratches/booger etc.) are charged at $15 per photo.
Why can't I buy a digital copy of the group photo?
For privacy reasons, we're not allowed to offer digital copies of the group photos.
This is because it has full names associated with children's faces. If a parent uploads the group photo online, it has photos children with their full names and the name of school, this may compromise the safety of children. Hence the photography association advise strongly against selling the group photo in digital format.
Can I combine photos from siblings into one package?
No. Package prices are per child. But many packages have in-built siblings discounts.
Why don't you ask children to take their hats off for photos?
Between September and April, as well as on high-UV days outside these months, the SunSmart rules state No-Hat-No-Play.
I am able to capture these natural and carefree photographs of your children because I follow them around and interact with them as they play, rather than take them away from their friends one at a time and ask them to pose. It is against policy to ask them to not wear hats while playing outdoors.
Why don't you ask children to pose?
Because I hate the gritted teeth 'say cheese' face children learn to show to the camera. Because I don't want them to see photo-day as a 'big deal' or a chore. Because I don't want the meaningless 'stand there and smile' photos.
I want to capture children learning, working on projects, playing with friends, play dress ups, jump, run, dance, sing, and whatever else they love doing on a typical kinder day. I want their photos to be meaningful: full of life, full of memories, and full of who they really are!
