What To Expect At Your Viewing/Ordering Appointment
Feb 25, 2019 | By: Studio Z Photography
At our appointment, I will show you all the edited photographs from our session together.
Before we start narrowing them down, let's picture how you and your family would like to enjoy your images.
Option 1: Lots of digital files and just a handful of small prints? Option 2: A gorgeous album or photo box to treasure for a lifetime? Option 3: Fine Art Prints /canvases/ frames/ acrylic/ wood wall display?
Not sure which option suits you? Take this (rather imprecise but fun) little Personality Quiz!
If you're true digital creatures and only like to enjoy your beautiful photographs on your phone/tablet/computer, then an 'All Photos As Is' package might be perfect for you. These photos are edited but not retouched. Please see this BLOG for a detailed comparison between 'edited' and 'retouched' photographs.
Once you have all your beautiful photos to enjoy on your digital devices, think about whether there are any absolute favourites that you would like to 'do something with'.
If the answer is 'yes', then let me know which ones you would like to purchase as 'fully retouched digital files'. I will retouch these files to a professional standard that I'm happy with, and provide you with a colour correct professional print, so that you have a reference if you were to make reprints at a consumer lab.
If you love to have something beautiful that you can hold, touch, and treasure, then an album or boutique photo box is perfect.
They are professionally printed and beautifully crafted, all the paper and ink are rated archival, which means they will last a lifetime without fading. (obviously please don't put them in direct sunlight.)
If you love Ready to Hang Wall Art, please follow the wall gallery planner's instructions (emailed to you) and send me a phone-pic of your wall before our appointment. This will give me time to set up your room view in my specialised software, so that during our appointment, we can virtually place your images on your wall to work out the most suitable sizes and groupings before placing your order.
If you're renting/building, or just not quite ready to put up wall art yet, you might be interested in the beautiful unframed Giclee fine-art prints on museum-quality archival professional photographic papers. This way you can preserve them safely in a shallow box that doesn't take up too much space until you're ready to frame them.
While planning your order, don’t forget to consider the people in your life who would love to receive the thoughtful gift of beautiful portraiture for an upcoming holiday, birthday, celebration, or– better yet – for no reason other than the fact you were thinking of them!
I hope this post is helpful in preparing you for your viewing appointment.
Please don't stress about making a decision now, this is just a guide to help you start thinking/talking to your family about what you might like.
At your viewing appointment, I will guide you through step by step to choose the perfect product that will bring joy to you and your family for a lifetime.
